The southernmost of the eleven Barolo comuni (villages). The village boasts a pretty square at the bottom and an amphitheatre, from where visitors can enjoy jazz and theatre in summer, at the top.
Famous Monforte d’Alba MGAs (‘crus’) include Bussia and Bricco San Pietro.
