Cisrà & the Fiera dei Santi at Dogliani

  • Cisrà is the traditional chick-pea and tripe (vegetarian versions available!) soup of Dogliani, around which the town’s Fiera dei Santi – All Saints’ festival – revolves.

    With the vineyards surrounding the town turning aflame with colour – no vine is as beautiful in the autumn as Dolcetto – the townsfolk prepare seventy tons (!) of vegetables, ready to serve 3000 guests. In the evening, revellers from across the region descend to eat, drink, dance and revel into the night.

    MTW guests have a standing invitation to join in the preparation and partying of this 350-year-old tradition, but this is only open to a small number, so contact us to book now for this year’s trip or next.
