Some of the many kind words our travellers have taken a moment to send…

Our self-guided 6-day walk through Valle d’Aosta was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the impeccable planning and personal touch of James and Cinzia.
Nestled at the intersection of Italy, France, and Switzerland, this region delivered breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and some of the most incredible food and wine experiences we’ve ever had.
From the outset, James and Cinzia tailored every detail to suit our needs, going above and beyond to make the trip seamless. Cinzia’s home-cooked lunches catered perfectly to dietary restrictions, while James’ expertise as an Italian Wine Ambassador meant we discovered hidden-gem wineries and tasted ancient varietals we never knew existed. Their local knowledge and hands-on approach made all the difference.
One of the biggest surprises was exploring the remarkably preserved ruins in Aosta, known as the “Rome of the North”—no long queues, just pure history. Beyond the hike itself, reaching the summit of Mont Blanc and looking over Chamonix was a surreal moment, and the five hours spent unwinding in the thermal baths of Pré Saint Didier were the perfect reward for our aching legs.
This trip was far beyond what we imagined, a perfect blend of adventure, history, and indulgence. We can’t recommend this experience highly enough!
You both worked incredibly hard and looked after us all so well.
You made it a real insight into Piedmont showing us the food, cheese in particular, wine and chocolate too. A wonderful learning curve delivered with humour (that always helps!) and laughter too. You both worked incredibly hard and looked after us all so well. Faith and I were most appreciative of your attention and thoughtfulness at all times.
Your picnics Cinzia were inspired! No duplication between the three of them and all so so moreish. Irresistible, even to those of us who usually don’t eat much at lunchtime!
The wines were amazing. Whether tasting, with picnics or with dinner you took us around Piedmont and no longer will be confused between our Barberas and our Nebbiolos!
Casa Pecchenino was just as we had pictured it and lived up to all our expectations.
DR & FR, CrowboroughSuch a great six days – which went all too quickly. You’ve put together a really interesting and varied set of walks combining all our favourite things – wine, nature, history, geography, food… ten out of ten! We’re looking forward to the next one. AP & LS, Heathfield

AP & LS, HeathfieldIt was a fantastic holiday, one of our all-time best trips. We have travelled a fair bit over the years – including a number of holidays in groups and organised walks. We have not had a better holiday – simple as that!
We both had such a marvellous time! Every aspect was impeccably organised. From the moment you picked us up at Turin to the time you dropped us back there eight days later the holiday went completely smoothly and without a problem. The choice of hotels was very good. They were all very pleasant to stay in and we were greeted in such a warm and friendly manner by everyone we encountered.
The walks themselves were fantastic. We were glad we arrived with a good level of fitness! Your detailed written instructions were so helpful in guiding us through such magnificent scenery. I know that this reflects a tremendous amount of preparation on your part and it certainly paid off.
So in summary, this was a superb trip clearly put together with great care and attention. Organisation and support were extremely good and we would have no hesitation recommending the trip to others!
DC & GC, HeathfieldAnd what a trip it was!A little part of Piedmont will forever be in the hearts of Langton Green.
As our trip draws to a close, I wanted to record my thanks to James for going above and beyond to make this a memorable experience. I had expected the wine and food to be exceptional (which they were) but for me the highlights were meeting the people like Attillo and his nieces; Marco and his son and mother – families that represent the soul of Piedmont.
GS & AS, Langton GreenFor me the highlights were meeting the people. The Skyway experience was fantastic. One of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
