This charming family winery is one of very few growers in the Piemontese appellation, Pinerolese DOC.
The 10ha of vineyards are between 400 and 450 metres above sea level, on pre-Alpine slopes of schist, the mineral-rich, layered soils created by multiple primordial landslides.
Le Marie grow a fascinating range of grapes including a very rare Malvasia Moscata, as well as Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir.
The charming, eye-catching bottle labels were designed by a local artist.
MTW customers visit Le Marie or taste their wines with James MacNay, IWA as part of our “Liberty” trip. The wines can be purchased in the UK from Cuculo.
