Serralunga d’Alba is one of the eleven villages of Barolo.
The 14th Century castle, built by Pietrino Falletti and open to visitors, dominates the town.
The Barolo wines of Serralunga are known for their full body, structure and ageability. This is because the local soils are from the ‘Formazione di Lequio’, which have the presence of iron together with a high limestone content.
