Known these days as a base for skiing and rock climbing, this mountain town has its roots in the middle ages.
A stroll around its cobbled streets and ancient wooden rascard buildings transports the visitor to another time. In the summer flowers decorate the houses and piazze.
Take a moment, too, to examine the numerous plaques on the wall of the Town Hall. These are dedicated to the town’s famous sons: the Alpini, who have been guiding famous climbers since the nineteenth century.
