This trip was far beyond what we imagined, a perfect blend of adventure, history, and indulgence.

Our self-guided 6-day walk through Valle d’Aosta was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the impeccable planning and personal touch of James and Cinzia.

Nestled at the intersection of Italy, France, and Switzerland, this region delivered breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and some of the most incredible food and wine experiences we’ve ever had.

From the outset, James and Cinzia tailored every detail to suit our needs, going above and beyond to make the trip seamless. Cinzia’s home-cooked lunches catered perfectly to dietary restrictions, while James’ expertise as an Italian Wine Ambassador meant we discovered hidden-gem wineries and tasted ancient varietals we never knew existed. Their local knowledge and hands-on approach made all the difference.

One of the biggest surprises was exploring the remarkably preserved ruins in Aosta, known as the “Rome of the North”—no long queues, just pure history. Beyond the hike itself, reaching the summit of Mont Blanc and looking over Chamonix was a surreal moment, and the five hours spent unwinding in the thermal baths of Pré Saint Didier were the perfect reward for our aching legs.

This trip was far beyond what we imagined, a perfect blend of adventure, history, and indulgence. We can’t recommend this experience highly enough!
