Our good friend Marco Porello makes a suite of classic wines in his home region of Roero.
Many MTW customers have enjoyed a tasting in Marco’s winery or with a picnic in the San Michele vineyard above the town of Canale. That’s where the top picture was taken, in 2023.
Marco’s wines are supremely well made – clean, bright and absolutely representative of their grapes and the local style.
UK customers can contact Cuculo to buy Marco’s ‘Mommiano’ Barbera d’Alba, ‘Camestrì’ Roero Arneis, Langhe Nebbiolo and sweet, sparkling, low alcohol red. This latter is made with Brachetto, an autochtonous red grape known in the locality as Birbet.
