Barolo, Truffles & Walking – November 2024

A four-night, small group accompanied trip.

Enjoy magical accommodation on a working winery, superb walking, wine tasting with James, fun Italian lessons with Cinzia, and excellent meals. The temperature will be perfect for walking, and the pellet stove in the cosy breakfast room at Casa Pecchenino will be lit.

The vines will be a dazzling pallette of reds and golds, and, if we're lucky, we will get a glimpse of the Alpine chain while we're on the trails.

Overview

Five rooms are available on our magical autumn trip to the UNESCO world heritage site of Langhe-Roero, home of Barolo and the legendary white truffle.

The trip runs from Friday 8th to Tuesday 12th November.  You will need to make your way to the hotel we use in Central Turin on the morning of the first day.  So, arrive in Turin on Thursday 7th or earlier. We will drop you back to meet the evening connection (flight or rail) – or your next hotel check-in – on the last day.

BA and Easyjet fly from Gatwick daily.  At the time of writing, a landslip means the TGV connection from Paris is routing via Zurich and Milan.

The price is only €1495 per person based on two sharing (single supplement €300). It is all-inclusive (excluding flights and accommodation outside the trip dates) and, with its mix of walking, scenery, wine, food and language, is a magical way to spend a few days in autumn.
